Korpus disertacije obuhvataju književna dela IsakaSamokovlije, Đorđa Lebovića, Danila Kiša, Aleksandra Tišme, Davida Albaharija,Ivana Ivanjija i Filipa Davida čija proza ilustruje različite modele književnereprezentacije Holokausta i njegovih psihopatoloških odjeka.
<dc:description xml:lang="eng">This doctoral dissertation examines the psycho(patho)logical analysis of literarycharacters–victims in Yugoslav, that is, Serbian (post)modernist literature of the Holocaust, with the aim of investigating how the trauma of the Holocaust shapes and affects thesubjectivity, identity, and psychic apparatus of literary figures. Drawing on historical andhistoriographical insights into the Holocaust, as well as on contemporary theoreticalreflections on the past, Holocaust literature, and (post)modernism, the research adopts aninterdisciplinary approach that integrates the historical context of the Holocaust, postmodernist theory, literary analysis, and psychopathology as a framework for interpretingliterary texts. Particular attention is devoted to the analysis of the psychological consequencesof surviving the concentration camps, experiences of loss, exile, and post-traumatic existence. The corpus of the dissertation comprises literary works by Isak Samokovlija, Đorđe Lebović,Danilo Kiš, Aleksandar Tišma, David Albahari, Ivan Ivanji, and Filip David, whose proseillustrates diverse models of literary representation of the Holocaust and itspsychopathological reverberations. The dissertation demonstrates that Serbian Holocaustliterature constitutes a significant and authentic segment of world Holocaust literature, inwhich historical trauma is transformed into complex narrative and psychological structures, thereby opening a space for a deeper understanding of the vulnerability and complexity of thehuman psyche in the aftermath of extreme suffering.</dc:description>
